Stabilization Pond Process
SBR Process(Abbreviation of Sequencing Batch Reactor Activated Sludge Process)is an improved Activated Sludge Process, which is developped from original batch sludge process. Compared with other Activated Sludge Process, SBR Process is equipped with secondary sedimentation tank and sludge-removal equipments, has a more compact arrangement, smaller occupied space, rather low operational fees, therefore, it is not easy to cause sludge expansion problem, and has resistence to shock loads while the treatment effect is stable.
However, Stabilization Pond Process occupies too large space. Either it is improperly designed, or badly operated, even poorly managed, there will be secondary pollution caused. Besides, the climate has quite huge effect upon the treatment result of Stabilization Pond Process. Moreover,it’s likely to produce odor and breed mosquitoes and flies, and hard to discharge sludge for recycling.
